Nachdem im Februar bereits auf massiven Druck der Nichtraucher-Schützer und der Gesundheitspolitik die Tabakmesse in Indonesien abgesagt wurde folgt jetzt die „WT Asia 2014 Singapore“:
„IMPORTANT ANNOUNCMENT – WT Asia 2014 Singapore. November 12-14 – cancellation.
Asia has become very difficult in which to hold a tobacco exhibition and as we cannot assure the market that the exhibition will not be disrupted in some way (which is a great pity because there is a demand for an Asia tobacco event) we will narrow our programme to locations where we will not be interrupted by governments. […]“
